Azure Masada Lodge No. 22 has had a long and interesting history.
Did you know that...
We were the first Lodge in the State of New Jersey lighted by electricity and by the then new Edison light
bulb? One of those original bulbs is on display in the anteroom to the lodge.
We were recently contacted by a person who doubted our lodge's claim to this first lighting. He thought that
the first lodge to be lighted would have been Edison's own lodge in West Orange, NJ near where Edison
had his factory.
We researched the claim of the lodge and below is the letter we received from William Frolich of the Roselle
Historical Society.
